Pro-Shore System

The Pro-Shore shoring system consists of special drop-head post
shores, aluminum ledgers (mains), and laminated wood joists
(secondaries). This system was designed in conjunction with shoring
contractors to significantly improve labor productivity, reduce material
costs, and provide versatility not found in other shoring systems.
These advantages include:
- Only three main components: post shores, aluminum ledgers, and joists.
- Drop-heads permit easy stripping of horizontal members so they can be
cycled to the next pour. Shores are reset in place, while 75% of the total
system moves to the next pour
- Compact in design 5000 to 6000 square feet of material can be loaded on
one 40-foot flatbed trailer, reducing freight costs.
- Imperial dimensions which means no metric parts.
- 8’ x 6’ post grid (48 sq. ft.) requires 25% fewer posts than typical metric
post grid systems. A Pro-Shore 8’ x 6’ grid will support a 12-inch-thick slab.
This saves erection time, labor, and opens up workspace below the slab.
- All posts have attached Jet-Locks so standard steel cross braces can
be used to produce a fully braced tower for safety during erection of
Pro-Shore, no tripods or wood bracing are required.
- Slabs up to 18” thick can be supported with standard equipment.
- Easy to handle and quick to set up. During erection, ledgers are selfsuspended
by one end from the drop-head, and then the other end is rotated
up to position. Thus, a single worker could fully erect the posts, ledgers, and
joists alone. However, the addition of a second person staging and feeding
parts speeds the process and is the most productive use of labor.
- System is simple, and parts and erection drawings are fully color-coded
making it easy for workers to understand how the pieces go together.
